Any tips how to speed up throttle in Desmume? It's pretty choppy.

It runs perfect 100% but I've seen some people turn on throttle and go like 150-200%

I'm currently making a hack specifically for nuzlockes and I'm interested what you would see in those.

Starters are Exeggcute, Growlithe and Staryu and you get a water/fire/leaf stone depending on your Pokémon after beating Misty.
The titlescreen is just a prototype that's me testing out some stuff.

The 3 starters are modified to be equal stats and an equal-ish moveset.

Not sure on the level limit, second badge gives up to lv 30, so probably around 20ish.
You could try route 116 and find somthing good there, or maby rusturf tunnel.

Well it's a neat thing that I've never considered gift Pokemons to count towards the 'one-per-area' rule.

I feel like I'm doing really well, but I mourn the loss of Hymn the Swablu. With the team now all at level 10, I'm comfortable to try and tackle Green on Route 22.

Black/White or BW2 are pretty good. Blaze Black and Volt White make the games really great, but if you're going in blind you will get molested. The first gym alone in BW1 is a rotation battle and you find Cilan, Chili, and Cress at once.

You can do a Nuzlocke blind, but some things ar ejust designed to fuck you over.

Route 116 capture was an abra which my greatball failed to kill, and the cave which named alludes me was a whismur that I crit ohko'd.

I dont think BB/VW2 are that bad.

Im doing a blind run on challenge mode and as long as you can get past the second gym its easy enough from then on out.

You only use tanky pokemon, you have to assume that everything you fight will have a super effective move. So if you cant take a super effective move and live you are a worthless team member.

Everything in end game seems to know some type of fighting move, if you are using something weak to fighting it better have some good defense.

Of course theres always luck with getting good pokemon but whatever, as long as you expect the game to fuck you up the ass constantly it really isnt that bad.

Of course it's hard, that's the exact reason the hack got made - to smooth out some errors which should've been in the game, and to ramp up the difficulty. It's stated somewhere in the OP that BB2/VW2 are the hardest hacks out there to nuzlocke, and it's true.

Nope, just make sure the .sav file for the rom you're using is the same as the new file the randomizer creates and you should be able to continue.
I.E. Pokemon Emerald Fix.GBA and the battery should be changed to Pokemon Emerald Fix.Sav

Just started a BB2 challenge mode run. I wasn't at all prepared for the difficulty. I already reset once when I lost to cheren, cause I wasn't expecting to face a full team of 6. Second attempt is going much better, made it to virbank with no casualties, although roxannes lileep forced me to potion spam/absorb spam to survive. Grinding up in perparation for roxie, cause I know she isn't going to let me leave unscathed. So far I really like this hack, but I have mounting anxiety over when im gonna get crit...

Lost my zigzagoon grinding, I really wanted to use him ;_;
Nidoran died to a crit from almost full hp against a trainers skitty after I grinded it up,
and Paras was used as sacrifice after Bellsprout's speed was lowered by the relicanth so it could switch in and vine whip it to death.
Accidentally killed my Weedle in Petalburg Woods, now onto May and Dewford

Just took out Ghetsis and the rest of his team in the Gaping Chasm or whatever it's called. Lost Swansea and Sebastion on the way but managed to have no deaths in actual boss fights. Although Sinestro had many close calls but his filter ability kept it up. He had like 4 hp after the Ghetsis fight thanks to his Cofigrigus using trick room.

Good news - Finally got Oni to lv 25 and evolved it into a Fearow
Bad news - Hel was killed, I was just about to get a moon stone aswell.
Really need to level my team up some more, really underleveled.
Also caught Snipes the Skarmory on route 113 so will not be useful against the next few big battles.

Last update of the night. Did a bit of training, caught some new teammates, and lost Rococo the Nosepass.

However, in exchange, Harmony pulled off an incredibly impressive capture for that level 32 Dugtrio in the Diglett's Cave; Sing on the first turn, then some Mega Punches to wear it down, then it took 5 Great Balls to catch. Harmony's looking to be a great teammate.

Lost Hector to Shaunta, used the wrong move and got him killed. Leon got taken out as I forgot Marshal's Blaziken has a focus sash/ speed boost, got reversal KO'd. Swapped a few moves out with tms before iris and stomped her with trick room from Sinestro for Newgate to clean up, although I had to sub stall her Hydreigon when the room ended until it lowered its Sp. Attack so much with draco meteor I could just tank it.

Also if you're not, for all intensive purposes, Desmume will function better than No$GBA in running it. I haven't tested the latest version of No$GBA yet, but from what I've found this is generally the truth unless you're on a weaker computer. If you're playing on No$GBA you'll also need a code to fix the blackscreen glitch. Googling it should make it come up as well.

We should add this to the pastebin.

Bumping with an update; Decided to pop into the Rock Tunnel to grab a Pokemon, and grind my team to level 30 on a trainer with a Delibird.

Currently nuzlocking Soul Silver for the first time, just reached Ecruteak City. My current team is

Roy (Croconaw) Lv. 26, Brave nature
Raul (Alakazam) Lv. 24, Timid Nature
Hector (Heracross) Lv. 22, Hardy nature

I guess I'm a bit overleveled, but I've got only 3 solid bros so I don't feel too bad about it. I'm hoping to find a Magnemite from the route that's on the west side of Ecruteak, Magneton should be very good against the E4, assuming it would survive that far. I've got bunch of other guys on PC too, but I see no reason to train them, at least not now, because they're mostly crap from the beginning routes. Some fire type would be nice to have, but I guess my chances on getting one are pretty slim.
