I thought normal people weren't supposed to know about the Digital World. Did that get retconned or something...? I remember something about Adventure and Adventure 2 being in a different universe than other series, but it seems like digimon appear plenty of times in the real world in subsequent seasons.

The only season that I can think of where the Digital World didn't become common knowledge is Frontier. All the rest of them, the Digital World became revealed to pretty much the ENTIRE FLIPPING WORLD. I think at the end of the first saga of Adventure, the government covered all that junk up, but everyone involved pretty much knew better. At the end of 02, though, everyone around the world got involved in the battle, there was no longer a reason to keep it secret.

I didn't watch Xros Wars and I don't want to watch Xros Wars. I don't know how everything is set up in it. I doesn't sound like anyone beyond the humans involved know of anything, but I never looked too much into it. Hunters, I know even less about, but considering it deals with all that alternate dimension junk, I doubt it matters.

Xros Wars is basically the Gurren Lagann of the digimon series, or so I've heard, it has a finale with most of the protagonist of the first seasons so it's cool. Hunters, I've heard, isn't worth the time though.
