>>12920657I'm age 20.
My first game was Red around 1999, then Silver when that came out, then Ruby when that came out.
I stopped playing Pokemon after that until around 2009 when I got a Nintendo DS and Pokemon Diamond. I got HG/SS when they came out in 2010, and B/W when they came out in 2011. Most recently I got B2/W2. I have all of the games except Pearl and Gold (which I lost).
My favourite generation has to be III, because it's the one I spent the most time playing. I have a combined total of nearly 2000 hours on those games alone. The region is great, the addition of rainy routes and the volcano routes made it much more diverse than any other game that came before it.
It was the first major breakthrough in graphics of the games, G/S/C were just coloured in versions of R/B/Y without the derpy backsprites.
I've enjoyed every gen, like I'm sure everyone else has, but 3 remains top for me.
