Yeah, I remember Rock Slide being the only viable rock attack for a long time.

And it still is kind of shitty even with sneaky peebles. The 80% ACC of Stone Edge is a fucking joke.

It's like with Ice. Rock is a fantastic offensive type and poor defensively, yet Gamefreak LOVES to make defensive/bulky Rock types.
There's just a huge mismatch between Gamefreak's typing and stat/role design, and the entire type suffers for it.

There needs to be more Tyranitars and Terrakions, and less Golems and Gigaliths.
