Arceus doesn't really count for any types given how he's a jack of all trades.

if you caount him as a good normal poke, then hje's also a good poke for every other type, making normal still be at an disadvantage.

True, but Arceus-Normal remains one of the best Arceuses around. Most used of all the Arceus formes in Ubers.

It's quite a cop-out to say that Arceus-Normal doesn't count as a good Normal poke. It'd have more bearing if Arceus-Type was the best for all types, but that isn't the case at all.

Doesn't Trick Room last the same number of turns as Slow Start (5)? Just use him in doubles with an assist mon, something with high defense and team moves: Trick Room, Follow Me, Helping Hand, etc.

Better to use Worry Seed on him, which supresses his ability.

Whimsicott is great for this bc prankster, and it can also learn helping hand and tailwind

Nope, I've used him in doubles like this, he gets his full speed and attack back as soon as his ability is gone. It's still gimmicky and doesn't really work that well because turn order is based off his speed before the turn begins, and Whimsicott can't really stall that well without all 4 moves.

No. The 'only' reason Normal Arceus is used is for STAB on the Normal type move, Extreme Speed.
It's movepool is so diverse, it's not limited by items. The boost with LO isn't necessary when you can get a guaranteed boost and attack afterwards. Leftovers is handled by bulk + Recover. It's even one of the two viable users of Refresh.
Choice really isn't an option with its movepool.

Normal Arceus is used because of its Normal STAB. You're being needlessly nitpicky if you can't accept that Arceus-Normal should count.
