A ghost may be able to phase through metal, but it can't really hurt it. Possession is another story, but we haven't seen any ghost types posses anything in-game save for Rotom, which can only posses electrical things.

Some psychic abilities have been show to be affected by the weight of physical objects. Steel types are heavy, and would be hard to lift. Steel types may also be able to deflect whatever powers psychic types are using, though that one is a bit of a stretch. Aluminum hats.

Bugs are simple minded and easy to lift.

Ice can shatter from being hit with enough force, such as a hydro pump. The fact it's being hit by water changes nothing.
