ExandShadow, of Youtube and member of Brainscratch Comms, absolutely HATES Generation 4. Why, you may ask? Well... he's never actually explained himself. Watch their videos and if Gen 4 is mentioned you'll only hear him snarl and gripe and proclaim his hate over and over.
The only reason he's given in roundabout way is that he completely and utterly LOATHES the Physical/Special split. Why? "It unbalanced the game". He also hates mechanics introduced in Gen 2 and 3 that also happen to be used in Gen 4, like trading Pokemon with items to evolve them, Friendship evolution, and split evolutions. He likes them in Gen 2 and 3, but he cannot stand having to trade Pokemon to evolve them, evolve Pokemon with Friendship, and work with split evolutions in Gen 4 (and it goes for all the Pokemon who evolve this way that were introduced in Gens 2 and 3).
I'm tempted to say that there's nothing stupider than that, but you guys might surprise me.
