I'd think that you would be very limited by what pokemon you could use. I mean, you would probably only be able to use weezings, ekans, rattatatatas, meowths, oddishes, bellsprouts, fearows, tentacools, or zubats

i guess you could take a page out of the manga and say that Team Rocket is genetically tampering with them to make them more fierce or give them some form of an edge, but other than that it'd be Gen 3 all over again

maybe your main goal would just be to catch everything you can. like, your put into a scenerio were you need at least 10 pokemon, the rarer and more leveled up the better. although, that'd work much better in like a minigame or something

or maybe you would be doing things that nobody would expect. maybe your robbing pokemarts, and you have to work stealthily with your pokemon (one uses flash to stun people, other uses smokescreen to make it invisible to see for others), and your main goal is to rob that person without the authorites (officer jennys) finding out

maybe they change them in ways that would act like a second ability, but more affective.

Keep the gym leaders every time you beat one instead you take over that town elite four too swap a house in each town with a police station to beat after the gym leaders

After the elite four instead of a fag champion have a bad ass Interpol member or something you have to beat to take over and make it snatch mechanics from XD that the battle doesn't end when you steal a pokemon(only one per battle though and either you don't keep them or your higher ups take a random party member of yours every so often(no pc box so 6 Pokemon limit period though you can donate Pokemon to the team to get others and if you find a Pokemon you like and have a full team the OH WELL)

Would be neat

oh, and like XD, there would be contaminated pokemon. but instead of cleaning them, you would dirty them up. and once you do that, they become more powerful than ever, acting as an extra evolution for them

If they had a bad ass spriter they could make different forms for the 151 Pokemon like mewtwos armor to act as a boost once they dirty up

Or just make them have a dark aura like XD and call it 2edgy4you mode

Could make the major good guys like leaders and elite 4 have a good mode that affects base stats too making them stronger and have a lower catch rate(they'd lose it after being caught though obviously)

I kind of like the idea of a Pokemon game with a villain as the main character. I guess the rival could be another member of Team Rocket as well as some powerful trainer who tries to stop you.
Instead of a Pokemon Center or Mart, there would be bases in every town, or maybe on the routes between towns, where you can heal your Pokemon, stock up on items, and store your Pokemon in a PC.
