>>12927184>>12927297>>12929836>>12929896OP Here. I'm quite inclined to believe that DPPt was meant to be contemporary all around, being the first pokemon games on the DS, the region itself was an interesting east/west concept, and the music is heavily jazz-influenced. just thought i'd say that.
BW2, on the other hand, has a much more bright sound to it, for the most part.
HGSS is all about bringing people together, even it's soundtrack relies on multiple instruments passing the melody along.
RSE's soundtrack was meant to form and mutate along with the areas, hence why you hear some familiar themes in certain places(Route 104/Evergrande city as an example)
FRLG...I really don't know what to say about it(not in a bad way either). it seems that a different musician was in charge of every other theme for this one. Polka Route 1? Extremely hype Champion battle
inb4 cynthia? Tribal Viridian Forest? It almost felt like it was trying to appeal to all listeners, which i think in it's case, it worked.
