I'm soft reseting for a totodile in SS and I just ACIDENTALLY SR'D OVER IT BEWCAUSE I WASNT PAYING ENOUGH ATTENTION

This will be my first shiny, if I find another one. I've played pokemon for 15 years.

My first shiny was a shiny Metapod on Pokemon Gold. I had no idea why it was not the normal color, and this is before the days of using the internet for things like that.

I caught it, evolved it and thought it would turn back to a regular Butterfree, but it did not and I was amazed....and then boxed it and never used it again.

My sister caught a shiny wurple and never evolved it, thinking it would turn back to normal.
Somewhere, there's a level 100 shiny wurple on her diamond.

My only shiny that I originally found on Diamond's Victory Road (Steelix) is currently residing in my long lost Soul Silver which I will probably never see again. I have torn apart my house looking for it, but I can't think where it would be if not in the house.

As someone who also found a shiny Steelix on my Diamond, I feel sorry for you man.

The very first shiny I ever found was a Tentacruel in Gold. At the time I was too retarded to understand and just ko'd it. Then I got HG and found a shiny Tentacool, and caught it. Everything came full circle.

Also caught a shiny Abra in FR, before even defeating Misty. It was the most frightening moment possible. Thank fuck for that single Great Ball I had on me. Here's to more shiny luck!

Your best bet would be to change the clock of your DS back to approximately when you reset it, and keep trying that way. You might get lucky.
