for gen 6, they already announced some ground rules with the new game
>all pokemon that evolve end with fire/fighting
>some form of black, grey, and other dull colors must be used
>being based off of a boring animal or real life object is needed for all pokemon
>all one stage pokemon now have extra prevolutions and evolutions even if they already have them
>there is now a 5th evolution cap instead of just 3
>at least one pikachu knockoff, and several normal type rodent creatures for half of the roster
>the other half are all fairy
