Watson more or less gave me my badge as my Marshstomp just trundled in not giving a shit. So far the toughest gym battle I've had was Brawly and that was because I had to swap level my Abra from 6-16 so it could actually take part in that gym fight.

Although I'm kinda worried about the normal gym oddly enough.

just lost my magneton to a trainer in claire's gym to a crit brine :( other than that, didnt really have much trouble with claire herself. set up toxic spikes and took out gyarodos with tali the tentacruel. took out both the dragonairs with damien the piloswine, and took out kingdra with tali.

damien the piloswine - lv 35
ramon the meganium - lv 36
muscle the machoke - lv 34
grayson the crobat - lv 36

If you bred the egg then to me that's breaking the nuzlocke spirit.

I consider eggs that are given to you in the plotline a boon, but generally only accept it if it's from an area where you haven't caught something yet. The egg in Lavaridge town comes to mind as something you'd accept there, but it might hatch somewhere else.

Ultimately it's up to you, but I consider an egg coming from where you received the egg, not where it hatched.

Because I suck ass at nuzlockes and I actually enjoying having a game that has the game file that is beaten. I literally have no hope for ever beating nuzlockes because even if I grind my teams to ridiculous levels I cannot beat them ever.

I've clearly failed Eccentric Emerald twice now. The only nuzlocke I came close to finishing was Yellow and I got bored when I wiped save for my incredibly over leveled Cleffable.

I lost my Nuzlocke on FireRed to the Elite Four, but that may have just been because I didn't have high enough levels. The Elite Four is a jump up from the last gym and you may want to grind a bit/quite a lot before challenging. Other than that though, it's fairly easy.

What's the program that lets you edit the Pokemon in a game (Type etc.). Someone mentioned it in a past thread for using it on Platinum to get the same types Drayano uses in Blaze Black and others.

Extremely simple to use. Load the rom you want, set it, then get to editing. You can also edit trainers and moves with it. Obviously, you can't implement moves or abilities that are 5th gen only, but you can make the secondary abilities of Pokemon their DW abilities, or just change their base abilities outright. There's a second version of PPRE, but I'm a retard and can't get it to work.

Forgot to say--PPRE .14 is only for D/P/Pt/HG/SS roms. I don't think it works on B/W/B2/W2. For that, you'll have to use PPRE 2.2.0, PRC, or other editors. Some editors require you to extract the .narc file from the rom before you can edit it. Unless you're making a hack of your own to release, you PROBABLY don't want to do this. There's even a PRC just for BB2/VW2, though I don't think it works on BB1/VW1.

Project Pokemon has various editors. Go nuts.

But the real reason why is that I have the shittiest luck. Also I hate grinding for hours upon hours.

I fought Janine in Heart Gold the other day for the first five minutes she would confuse me, and everytime I was confused I hit myself. Then luckyly when I wasn't I would miss all my attacks.

I would probably eat my game if I lost because of RNG bullshit.

Dragon Claw is physical in Eccentric Emerald, and yes, Slowbro did have a -Def Nature and a 3 IV in Def and a 2 in HP and Altaria is level 40.

reposting from last thread, new nuzlocke idea

1- get a list of all pokemon of a certain type sorted by index number
2- use a RNG to randomly choose one of them
3- use pokegen or w/e to give yourself a lvl 5 of the lowest pre-evo of this pokemon
4- repeat for all 17 types
5- release your starter
6- faint=death, but you can't catch anything else, you must beat the game with these 17 pokemon

I just got my starter and pokegen'd everything. I need to use growlithe (who will be the only one I use in battle until I beat my rival's totodile and get my pokeballs since I picked cyndaquil). All of them have abilities they could have in gen 4, moves they would have by level-up at level 5, and IV's were randomized.

So with growlithe I have 5 spots left, who should I use? I'm leaning toward Sentret who can get some use this early, and I won't use meditite because it doesn't get confusion until level 8 (I can powergrind it if something dies later).

Training Ralis took longer than I thought, with his poor nature playing a role in training. But took him up to a level where he could safely take on Misty.

Just left the sewers after teaming up with the rival. Picked up Ashura and Tebow in castelia, then promptly lost Kotetsu and Kronix in the sewers. Kotetsu had been battling strong, and I got cocky and stayed in after a couple tail whips. final attack fell just short of KO, and a crit stab tail slap from minccino was enough to end it, he wasnt supposed to go so soon. Kronix was crit in the next battle, it was some kind of special attack I don't remember, i was already kinda down. Kronix did alot for my against roxie, and a good wall. But he wasnt going to evolve for a while plus I had recently caught Krud and Verna is still going strong so all in all not a huge loss. Training to face 3rd gym, got my fire type so it should be doable.

Randomised Fire Red run. My second go, on my first I didn't even get through Viridian Forest. So far this run has been pretty easy, only 2 deaths and a handful of close calls beyond that. Eager to try it on a harder romhack soon

Do it on challenge mode again in my opinion. Also if your image is was what you went in with then you're kinda low for it. All you really need for Burgh is either a fire type for escavalier, a flying type or bulky mon that can learn strength.

Then you just need to stall until rain dance fades before you bait Burgh to use Escavalier

eh I suppose ill give challenge mode another go, but the grinding is horrendous. level range was 26-28 with the same team by the time I challenged, I was hoping Ayce would sweep (strong flying type) early but a crit focus blast ruined my plans. Then a crit scald on verna (bulky strength user), and I lost murasame because i keep forgetting he's a fighting type. masquerain swept me from there, Ashura's flame wheel barely did 50% and he was one shot by scald of course. I would have overleveld more because i knew my pokes were at a disadvantage but I hate grinding in castelia, there has got to be a better way than wild pokemon in the sewers.

If you really want to grind faster. You could always use the AR code to force audino spawning. I personally would rather just grind than use it but I can understand why some people would consider using it.

Although if you didn't know, the breeder outside of castelia up north can be battled with every time you re-enter route 104 and she gives decent exp. The same for Brawly at Virbank City and Norman/Chansey Breeder outside Driftveil.

I might start using it to make up grinding gaps like before gym leaders in challenge mode. especially in repeated runs. I battled the breeder for a while but yawn was annoying me as the pokes i was training couldn'y 1 shot to avoid it. I didnt think about back tracking to brawly thats an option too.

One of my friends uses the Audino code as he disliked the grinding too and his argument was he's getting shit EV's from it too so it was a trade off. The Audino code is ok compared to some people out there who use Audino code and some sort of exp modifier, that's just gay.

No Virbank Outer catch, it was a Pidove.
I was hoping for a Magby, honestly. I like the Magmar line. I've never used Growlithe/Arcanine so we'll see how it goes.

Makani has been pulling his weight, I'm surprised (I don't like the Pidove line because shitty move pool).
