Speak for yourself.
I've got an intense love of pokemon that followed me from early childhood all the way into adulthood.
It never waned. I bought my preorder for X a few weeks ago. Guess what I did with it.
Put it in a ziplock bag with precisely enough money to purchase X, put that bag in a metal box and put that metal box within another, larger metal box. (I also did this for my Metal Gear Solid 4, which I purchased in physical form about 5 months before I even bought an actual PS3. I religiously read the manual for that every single day and studied it so I could breeze through the game when I got it)
Now I dissassemble it each and every day (within reason) and take in the smell of fresh plastic and those metal boxes. It's my shrine to "the next big game."
That game happens to be Pokemon, and will always be Pokemon first and foremost.
