Ok, Can I have some advice?

Never played generation three before, only 1 and 2. I will be playing on an emulator and Im 18

So which game do I pick?
Saphire, ruby or emerald?

What should I expect?

Any tips?

Personally, Sapphire is my favorite but you should go with Emerald since it combines the stories and has a few updates in it. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Most people do.

Pick all 3 and trow in you garbage can, and them start playing Fire Red or Leaf Green 386 for a real "gen 3" feel.

Emerald is the hardest while Sapphire is the easiest. I've never played Ruby, but it's probably in between.

Personally I preferred Emerald. It took Ruby/Sapphire, improved the story and added a few neat features. That's why I'd recommend Emerald.

I've played since '98 but fuck, the remakes make Gen I and II completely obsolete except for 'MUH NOSTALGIA'.

FRLG is the best thing to come out of Gen 3 tho.... I wouldn't play the rom hack over the originals or throw hoenn in the trash, but FRLG is just plain addictive. Hoenn is tedious.
