Guys, why I am so shit at naming pokemon? Currently on my team I have:
>Munch the Deino
>Daffy the Psyduck
>Lee the Tyrogue
>Rail the Beldum (It reminded me of a railgun)
>Bolt the Magnimite
>Growlithe the Growlithe

How do you guys come up with names?

I make shitty names too, don't worry. I have a Sandslash named Sandy or Sandman because I can never think of anything.

Sometimes, I like to name a pokemon after a pet of mine. IE Persian is named after te cat I've had for 10+ years.

Or I name them after people or creatures in mythology or demonology or in history or whatever. Just do whatever you think feels right.

Depending on what sort of name I think the Pokémon should have, I might go for a cultural reference, a human name that sounds like the species' name, or a resemblance between the Pokémon and someone else. Failing those, I might search for names that mean something related to the Pokémon, or look up topics related to the Pokémon and see if any fitting names jump out.

I name them after people I know. Sometimes trying to misspell their names a little to make a pun.

I hope my fat friends never find out I've named Miltanks, Kangaskhans and Azumarrils after them

I named Charmander "toby" why? bc my first dog ever's name was toby.
