Fighting type is definitely less useful than it was in past generations. On one hand, it's less useful than before because Fairy resists it.
Poison and Steel types will rise in usage due to being super-effective against Fairy and resisting Fairy attacks.
Fire Pokémon will rise in usage due to resisting Fairy, and fire attacks will rise in usage with he Fighting type getting nerfed and Steel getting more powerful.
Psychic Pokémon will rise in usage thanks to resisting Fairy moves. It's hard to say whether psychic attacks will change in usage. On one hand, Steel Pokémon are much more dominant now. On the other hand, Poison Pokémon will see more usage.
