So do you see, say for an example, the spots on Volcarona's wings as overdesigned? Because it's based off sunspots while retaining an exotic jungle moth look. It's no different from Xatu and Sigilyph being based off of Nazca shit and it's certainly less cluttered. Just curious.

Gen V designs are pretty simplistic in my opinion. And although pokemon like Bisharp look a lot different from the usual gen I poke, I think its design works well. Also I think they're just trying to expand on pokemon designs, which is working quite well.

I can agree in some cases, but I think he should reduce the size of the head instead. On another note, Fennekin will most definitely be fixed in later evolutions. They've done this stuff ever since Gen I, and the final evolution always has the proportional body and head. I guess the big head is meant to look cute.
