Second one must have come in with zero prior knowledge of what Ash sounded like because she sounded nothing like him early on. She's gotten better, but it was extremely jarring.

Will always prefer Taylor. Though its partially because she voiced him before he became a static character so hers felt like he had more personality.

I don't know why, but when she left, it felt like the Pokemon Anime became something completely different. Something that wasn't as good, fun, funny or interesting. And I don't know why that transition was so sudden with the departure of one character's voice. When I watch Pokemon now, all I see is some low grade garbage, but when it was Taylor, it felt fun.

This is probably just nostalgia, though.

I personally know Ms. Natochenny. She was a singer in my high school chorus, 2 years older than me. A while ago, she was a cat-loving Facebook addict. I also saw her at an improv comedy show.

Personally, I think Sarah has gotten a lot better over the years. And that Veronica Taylor got worse and more boring as the years went on.

Taylor had that irritating squeakiness, and there's something nasal and "ahhsome" about Natochenny Ash I still don't like.

Ash is in many ways a horrible fucking character, very creepily empty, but both ladies give him enough life to keep caring about his usually meaningless story..

Veronica Taylor had some shit moments in terms of cracking her voice. Somewhere between the Paras episode and Go West Young Meowth I think. It's not that it ruins her entire track record but I remember there was a period where her voice got a tad grating in between the 2nd half of Kanto and Orange Islands.

I'll admit the Russian bitch had a bit of a rough start adjusting but she has gotten better than her debut. She isn't THAT bad now, but she was shitty for a while.

I prefer Taylor but preferred how she sounded the first 4 episodes. Otherwise she was better off as Delia and May.

The new voices are fucking amateurish and sound like something out of a fandub. Ash sounds like he's been castrated. No emotion, just pure boredom. Garbage, garbage, garbage. The new cast is ass. Right up there with the Tales of Symphonia 2 recasts.

Taylor was May too, so two characters actually got screwed when the dub switched, half the main cast became completely different, it felt wrong.
