Is anyone else a bit disappointed with the fairy types? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE fairy types! I just feel that they aren't really going in the right direction.
Fairies have many definitions. Such as the original mischievous, horrid and morbid ones; or the tricky, funny and whimsical ones. The fairy type seems to just be cute little pink things. I love pink things but they really have nothing to do with the type itself.
There's literally thousands of things they could base fairy types on, such as
>elves
>pixies
>brownies
>boggarts/boggies
>trolls
>goblins/hobgoblins
>gremlins
>elementals(earth, fire, air and water)
>nymphs
>sylphs
>sprites
It seems they're just going for anything related to cute. I feel like Spritzee could be acceptable if they make it evolve into a hummingbird.
