100% confirmed. Website says you can change clothes freely and some screenshots of the PSS Interface show trainers with different hats, accesories and hairstyles.

its been shown on the official site, but not been mentioned (i.e you see it happen in video/screenshot)

but it doesn't say anywhere NEW FEATURE CUSTOMIZATION

also to what extent you can customise we do not know, it just looks like skin/hail colour atm
