How is it that Munchlax speed is 5 while Snorlax is 30.
physically speaking, Munchlax is smaller and therefore should be faster.

More girth and fat = more weight making it heavier restricting movement therefore becoming slower, this is logic, isn't it?

This depends on the situation if I remember correctly. Light, small ball would be always faster on flat terrain (at least easier to move, I bigger ball has potential, but it needs much more power so I wouldn't count it), on steep, smaller, ligher ball would reach maximum speed faster, but heavy one would reach higher speed in the end, thus outspeeding smaller one if the path is long enough.

Well, I don't think that comparing whole vehicles is correct here. In case of vehicles its all about power you use to move the object. If someone would push snorlax strong enough, it would easily outspeed munchlax. Ofc the same in opposite case. Also you can't compare tank to car, because firstly, tank has tracks, secondly tank wheel has similar diamater to bigger truck wheel. Car wheel vs rear tractor wheel would be better comparison. I wouldn't take into account any 'external' forces other than gravity, thus the best case to talk about would be balls or tires on steep terrain. Then the only thing that would matter would be gravity, weight and diameter/girth.

plus youre confusing height with weight. granted it doesnt really work this way in real life, but the general premise is that nimble people run rings around fatties

even though that only really happens in tv shows and the nimble person is lightning fast and the fatties are usually slow, even for their weight

Because movement speed =/= attacking speed
Attacking speed is more like reflexes, which is why Sucker Punch and Extreme Speed have increased priority; you're attacking too quickly for the opponent to react.

If you care about movement speed look at the pokemon's Speed stat in the pokeathlon

Attack speed id half the equation.
The base stat is the problem.

If speed was the deciding factor in a battle why did Cynthia'sLvl 76 Spiritomb attacked before my Level 88 Crobat, without any status effectas.
