Why would pokemon even need to take your orders? They should make it so if a pokemon doesn't like or respect you that it flees or attacks you and you end up needing to catch it all over again.

But that kinda sucks.

I like to imagine that the battles are fast paced and when you take time it's just in slowmo in your head.

This makes it look like they're actually just hitting each other and waiting.

I think it means that if your pokemon likes you a lot, they will have a special animation during battle. They might turn back and look at you, instead of always looking at the opponent.

Which is stupid, why would you take your eyes off of your opponent in a fight?
