>>12995638Yeah, in GSC they had no problem restricting trades back to RBY carts. Similarly with RSE, they managed it almost painlessly.
The way I see it, they have these options:
>Sort it out, add a HP Fairy.Things continue similarly, but everything gets a Fary-type HP.
>Keep it the way it is, do not add HP Fairy.Things continue similarly, but nothing gets a Fairy-type HP. HP Ice would still be a better tool against most Dragon-types anyway.
>Remove HP completely. This could require transfer restrictions such as "Pokemon must not know HP" (Like Pal Park and HM moves), or for the transfer process to include a deletion process.
>Update/replace HP with a new move that allows for a Fairy-type inclusionperhaps with greater visibility of it's type and power, or maybe the ability to choose/change/power up the move. This could also require transfer restrictions such as "Pokemon must not know HP" (Like Pal Park and HM moves), or for the transfer process to include a deletion/replacement process.
>Do not allow backwards compatibility. I'm sure everyone wants to avoid this. People deserve to be able to take their Pokemon forward into a new generation equally, whether they have long-time bro/sis Pokemon, bred/hatched/RNGd endlessly, or gained them from events.
