Back in the days, before micro-organisms were discovered, people believed diseases were caused by bad smells (miasma theory). Unfortunatly, people also had a similar suspicion of water. So what did they do? Use perfume of course. That might be why it has the ability "healer".

I dunno where the 2nd e comes from, maybe from the German word Fee (Fairy)?
Deino's, Zweilous' and Hydreigon's names also contain German words, so wouldn't be too farfetch'd
