Guys, I don't know what the fuck to do. I'm giving Gen 5 another chance (I couldn't finish it I got bored). I have Regular White and recently my sister got me White 2 for my birthday. I have no fucking idea what I'm doing. Is it worth finishing White before going on in White 2? I have 3 badges in White 2 and I have no idea what I'm doing. I've never felt so lost in a pokemon game.

What are the differences between regular B/W and B/W2?

What are some good teams? I don't even know any of the names of the pokemon in Gen 5.

I just picked it up again, I know the map is retarded and that they hold your hand the whole time but I seriously feel lost without having general knowledge about the pokemon or gyms.

If you've already bought White then you might as well play it first. I would suggest looking up the list of Pokemon in the Unova Pokedex. Also, there are a lot of old Pokemon in White 2. I would suggest making a team mostly of them and then maybe one from Gen 4 and/or 5.

Go through the story. If you see a Pokemon you think is badass, catch it. Talk to the guy at the beginning of each gym to find out what the type is. If you don't have something that's super effective, muck through your TMs, go catch something beneficial, or just good ol' fashioned overgrind.

It's a game geared primarily towards children. If you aren't having fun playing it, maybe it's time to move on.

BW is more story driven and has only Gen V Pokemon. BW2 has over 300 Pokemon available, and is a sequel to BW that takes place 2 years later. I might suggest going through White 2 first and being filled in on the story with BW later, as it is much easier on people trying to get back into the game.

go through the gen v dex, find the pokemon you like, find where they're located on marilland or something, catch them. simple as that

It's cool. Everyone else is being an asshole, B/W2 follows B/W1 after a two year gap. Some parts of the story you won't understand if you don't finish B/W first or at least catch up on the story at bulbapedia, serebii, etc.

B/W2 throws a whole bunch of old pokemon your way, completely destroying what made generation V unique in the first place.
