My point was that people will obviously like things like serperior more because they like the way it "looks" even though it doesnt follow a certain theme other that royalty, which is only shown in its stance and not in its actual design. Most people seem to forget that samurott is a samurai/shogun, and it was common for japanease higher class to have such mustaches because it showed power. Emboar's lines were a reference to what it was based on, which was hjourney to the west. These lines are also on infernape, and some might say they are overdesigned but they are referencing the source material
hell, just look at dugtrio. most people nowadays say its design was awful, but it was based off of Wack-A-Mole, thats why its a MOLE pokemon that pops out of the ground and you dont ever see its bottom. This is why it turns into dugtrio, to further reference the source material that it was based on. Of course, many people will have the design anyway just because they dont like it, and this is why im upset. Most people dont take the little details into consideration
