So, what romhacks are worth playing?

I already played through the fire red remake that added the phys/special split and pokes from new gens and through blaze black 1 and 2

The creator of YAFRH has another lesser known hack called ignorance version which is pretty fun but absolute hell tier difficulty.

Pretty nice if you like the emerald geography, though he added in some stuff that's a touch silly, everything is buffed to ridic levels so everything is viable, and there are extra surprise boss battles, and it's hell tier difficulty.

It's all trial and error. I don't think any of the people that made the well known hacks just got everything working perfectly on their first try. Hardware doesn't matter because it's all emulated so everyone'd have easy access to it

And I see you have light platinum, great story with solid post game.

Sienna is solid, fakemon are iffy on quality but some are quite good.

My friend was telling about one where you start as a Rocket grunt. Sounded cool if you like being the bad guys.

CrystalDust, while unfinished at the moment is a way better remake than Liquid Crystal, since it has the phone/bug catching contest/moving pokemon and all that other neat shit.

Also if you guys want to play just vanilla and catch everything legit, get Ultra Violet and Crystal Emu Version. They're relatively new (though you know, you would think someone would've done this before) but easy to find.

Still I'll never understand the popularity of a lot of hacks. Dark Rising too, wasn't that one literally dropped due to the hacker admitting it's a horrid thing that shouldn't live? And it's still popular as fuck.

I don't even mind if it's early DS stuff. 4th/5th gen hacks really need to start popping up instead of yet another FireRed or Ruby hack. And yes I realize how the tools aren't there, it's too much work, etc.

Strength is accidently bugged to be ??? type or something, Rock Tomb literally will crash the game but nothing learns it. Just be sure to be careful around Metronome.
