First movie was shit. Keldeo was actually legit. Tons of charecter development. Keldeo goes from being a pussy to a mighty muskateer. Faces his fears amd prevails. None of the other movies have no where near character development as this movie did.

Fuck you, that was the best one. It's the only movie in the series where the threat is something Ash can conceivably help deal with. Most of the movies need to make up excuses to justify Ash and friends being there.

The last 20 minutes or so of the first movie contends for some of the worst moment in fiction, and 2000 borderline bored me to tears but was thankfully forgettable. Please watch movies outside of the pokemon franchise, this one being a great example.

Didn't watch Victini or Keldeo yet. Should probably go do that. Judging by their synopsis, I'd put them after Arceus and after Lucario, respectively. Of course that's subject to change.

Before calling Nostalgiafaggotry, I loved the soundtrack of the first movie more. Otherwise, Deoxys would've been my #1.

The reason it's so high up is because it is about aliens in an alien world. Deoxys wasn't an Earth pokemon, got lost, just wanted to find its brother, but got attacked by a powerful creature.

That struggle, having the alien try to find its brother and keep any threats away, and eventually the final fight was great buildup. None of that "Ash having heart to heart" with a talking pokemon; just two aliens and a giant snake.

I liked Destiny Deoxys for these same reasons.

Rise of Darkrai I actually enjoyed a lot for its beautiful setting, story, and large-scale fights. The idea of two godlike beings that should never have met crossing paths and having an intense battle resulting in complete annihilation I find very cool. And I appreciate a dark-doesn't-mean-evil theme.

Lucario and the Mystery of Mew was also good for its incredible setting. I loved the giant, living rock-tree. Plus, it had the Regis in it, which are my favorite legendaries. They made such cool sounds and were pretty threatening.

Spell of the Unown I liked for the reality distortion stuff.

Giratina and the Sky Warrior had the Reverse World, which was fascinating.

I liked the freaky monsters in 4Ever and Wish Maker.

Mewtwo Strikes Back, The Power of One, and Jewel of Life I liked enough and don't have much against them.

Heroes had a great setting, a cool machine, and a badass Kabutops, but I don't really remember the story at all. Also, the sounds Latias was making constantly were super grating to me.

I totally forget what happened in Temple of the Sea. The golden water jet things were neat. That's all I have.

Sword of Justice I appreciated for its simplicity, but nothing captured my interest at all.

I haven't seen the Victini or Zoroark movies yet.
