>>13013701>>13013723And if you can't understand that, let me give you a real life example.
You have a phone. It is powered on, but the screen is off or closed due to not being in use. You accidentally drop it in a water source, such as a sink, toilet, puddle, etc. You remove it from the water and try to dry it off, but when you go to unlock the phone or flip up the screen, it doesn't work or looks very bad. You power off the device or remove the battery and try and dry it off but the damage is done. The phone needs to be replaced.
Now what you want to do is take the broken phone that is clearly not working due to water damage and putting a new battery in it. Because somehow that new battery will fix all of it's damaged components.
The only reason this bothers me so much is the fact that you clearly don't understand how basic electronics work yet still insist on a quick fix solution that doesn't exist.
That, and the fact that I have to deal with idiots like you on a daily basis due to the nature of my job.
>"Oh I spilled tea on my computer and now it doesn't work, can you fix it?"
>Oh sure I can, but I'll have to replace your motherboard and CPU.
>"Oh okay, how much will that cost?"
>Around a hundred dollars for parts and service.
>"WHAAAAAT A HUNDRED DOLLARS! CAN'T YOU JUST BLOWDRY IT OR WIPE OFF THE SPILL?"
>I could, but it wouldn't do anything because the components don't work anymore.
>"HMPH WELL MY NEIGHBOR CAN PROBABLY FIX IT FOR FREE."
>Okay, you can let your neighbor try to fix it. But if he can't fix it I'd be more than happy to.
And then they come crawling back and ask to speak to someone else because they don't want to admit they're wrong.
