>>13013249For all of Gen I's faults that bogged it down, it was still good in its own right. Was it glitched up the wazoo? Yes, yes it was. Is Gen I my least favorite of all gens? Yes, yes it is. Does it hold up well in comparison to the newer gens? Not really.
However, it's still an important set of games, and we wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Gen I laying the ground work that it did. It introduced us to Pokemon, as well as many of the characters and other concepts. It did many things that still makes it great in some form or fashion.
The time of the Pokegods was a weird one indeed, though. Falling for that shit is embarrassing in hindsight.
