This is a thread for pokemon you used to dislike but warmed up to when you saw them in a different light.

Pic related, I used to think Garchomp was a really boring pokemon. Design wise it's decent enough though could lose the white spikes. My real gripe was that online it was just a one trick pony. Be really fast, hide behind subs and mindless click your appropriate STAB move to rush everything down.

Then in gen V I tried out a more defensively oriented Garchomp. Here was my first time using him summed up
>scizor (Zoroark) used U-turn
>scizor was hurt by garchomp's rough skin
>scizor was hurt by garchomp's Rocky helmet
>opponent sent out forretress
>pointed stones dug into forretress
>forretress was hurt by spikes
>garchomp used dragon tail
>haxorus was dragged out
>pointed stones dug into haxorus
>haxorus was hurt by spikes
>haxorus is buffeted by the sand
