Are you serious? I agree that there are too many Water types in Gen III but they were all pretty awesome. I always have a hard time deciding which one I want when I start a new game.

I agree, it's like the whole game was one massive tutorial, the games just keep getting easier. I hate gen 5, stupid villains, stupid pokes, stupid graphics, removal of good features, pointless minigames...B2/W2 were much better than the first ones but it was mainly because they brought back a lot of previous gen pokemon.

Nah, Galactic outfits were actually rather good. They had a very clear, executed theme, and the color palette used on them was good. They also have a great logo.

Rocket and BW2 Plasma have good designs too, for different reasons.

Plus I really liked how it was kind of difficult to tell what gender, it gave their team a really sci fi futuristic "whole new world" feeling.

Again, you're wrong.
Sinnoh gym leaders had character. Whether you like them or not is a whole other character. Gen 3 (and prior) gym leaders had 0 effort put into them.

And Galactic's designs are great. Excellent execution of the concept, and very clean lines. They're the opposite of "shit".

Shit character design is something like Nooj from FFX-2.

I'd only describe three of the gym leaders as having any sort of character and that would be Crasher Wake, Fantina and Volkner.
Crasher Wake simply because of what you find out though NPCs, Fantina because of her accent and Volkner because he's been made a joke of basically.

They had a really bad Elite four as well. Cynthia managed to carry a lot of the elite four's shit though so it balanced out I guess.

Yeah, but gen 3 gym leaders were actually challenging, at least in Emerald. You can't just blow through them using only your starter like a kid would in G/S/C for example. The combination of the strongest poke always having a Sitrus Berry, even the early leaders having like four potions, smart strategies like Wattson's Voltorb catching you by surprise with Selfdestruct...

Dive was pretty cool, but it would have been better if every underwater place didn't look the same and there was more than three Pokemon to catch. But the dive music, finding items and secret caves and surface spots with dive was really awesome, it almost gave this sense of mystery to the game, something atmospheric that I just feel like all the other gens don't have.

Gets really hard to grind before Wattson. The best I can do to him is Aaron and mud-slap him to death, and hopefully get lucky with some Double Kicks. Maybe if there were pokemon that actually gave decent exp before him it would be more manageable.

After that though the game is easy.

Why does everyone hate Gen 1? It was the first fucking few games, of corse you're not going to be able to set up your little MLG teams and rek everything. The glitches if anything, were fun. Missingno was lulsy as shit. But everything else seemed cool. Of corse all of the other types weren't introduced because it was the FIRST FUCKING GENERATION. The gym leaders were memorable, the pokemon were mostly all good, and the sense of adventure was definitely there. You autists like to criticize it because there's no hot furry action (which gen 6 is providing which I'm sure you'll all love). I'm getting real tired of this boards flame wars and shit logic/opinions.

Agreed, but it's a shame, because they had potential.

They should have gone to war with each other to obtain full power of Hoenn, and use the legendaries to obtain that power. Team Magma should have threatened to use Groudon to unleash the full power of the volcano, earthquakes and shit, and Aqua should have used Kyogre to unleash tsunamis and shit. Some cities should have been destroyed/severely damaged during the battles. The gym leaders, the elite four and the protagonist should have defeated the both of them with Raywhateveritscalled.

Gen 1:
MT FUCKING MOON. If you don't have flash then you have a huge problem. The storyline is pretty good and I loved the glitches.

Gen 2:
The Pokedex is not even worth your time if you didn't buy the Gen 1 games. Everyone has said level scaling sucks because it did. I liked how you could go to two regions even though Gen 2 Kanto was awful.

Gen 3:
Worst rival ever. In Gen 1, the rival was an arrogant piece of shit that you wanted to annihilate into next week. Gen 2, more of the same. But this generation, I guess you were supposed to like him/her or something. Also, TentacoolWingull was pretty annoying and you could easily sweep through the E4 having Pokes with Brick Break and Earthquake. And you had to play the Gamecube games to fill the Dex, and that meh remake of R/B/Y. Still my fav gen.

Gen 4: My least favorite storyline, even though the rival was way better than Gen 3's. If you're done catching legendaries and you didn't have wifi, you probably got the least time out of this game. I loved how they added the GTS and WiFi battling.

Gen 5: Didn't play.

Now that I think of it, I can barely remember a single thing about gen 4, except that alternate universe with Giratina in Platinum, and Cynthia, and how I loved Garchomp, and how I had to plan out how I was going to catch Drifloon because it only appeared on certain days. Other than that, I can't recall a thing. The funny thing is, I KNOW that I REALLY liked it, I liked most of the new legendaries, not as much as gen 3 which is my favorite but I think it was a HELL of a lot better than gen 5...it's been years since I've touched my Platinum version but I think I have like 200 hours in it, I should buy another copy for a fresh start...I get kinda autistic about not wanting to lose my legendaries...
