I sort of want to learn competitive battling but I'm afraid it will suck the fun out. It's like once you learn about EV training, you can't just forget about it and go back to how it was. I explained EVs to a gal pal at school and she started doing it right away. I EV train my 6 mains, but it's still such a huge pain having to decide on what moves to give them out of 100 possible learned/tm/tutor moves. It feels like cheating to look up a guide instead of trying to think of a good moveset by myself.
In general I'm not very competitive and my favorite pokemon aren't very strong, and I don't want to use the strong ones just to win battles against other humans. I like battling but winning isn't important to me.
