In Gen I the AI was terrible, if the pokemon had a super effective move it would use it no matter what.

If you were to bring a Zubat against Lance in Gen I it would be forced to use Agility, a psychic move. You can literally leech life them to death.

Oooh yeah I realised that. But you said a Zubat could beat your Dragonite, as in the AI would somehow cheat so that an enemy Zubat could beat a player's Dragonite. That confused me.
