It would've been better had they have gone the GSC route and incorporated Hoenn into it to make the Pokemon selection feel less fucking empty. 107 new Pokemon, but the most legendaries up to that point? No new fire-types in the wild? Why, after three previous generations of trail and error, did somebody think that was a good idea?
Platinum mitigates some of the more questionable decisions, but is still worse than anything from Gen V and HGSS.
