So I've had some luck. I've used ear swabs to flush out the switches, but from the way they're designed it doesn't seem like there's any way to get into the plastic housing.
Maybe there's an opening on the side facing the main board, but that would require soldering to get to.
As it stands, the flushing worked pretty well. My R button works lube a charm, but the L isn't working as well as it was last night. I assume there was still some cleaner left bridging the contacts easily. So I'll take it apart again tonight and treat up the L switch again.
To anyone looking to do this, honestly the hardest part is getting the rubber depressor back into the switch housing, but if you use a small screwdriver, it shouldn't be too difficult. You know, if you actually have a tri-wing screwdriver to open the system.
