Have any of you ever bought a Pokemon game and never finished it for some reason? For me it was White 2. It didn't grab me the same way White did. I'm at victory road right now but I lack motivation to finish. Maybe today I'll just power through it.

The only pokemon games I purposely left unfinished was Sacred Gold, only because I couldn't motivate myself to raise my entire team 20 levels for the sole purpose of beating Red.

Also, I couldn't beat E4 on Platinum for the second time. The wild pokémon are too weak to level up my lv6X pokémon into lv7X ones.

didn't finish black, black 2, heartgold. I blame events and getting sucked into the void that is beneficial natures and IVs.

I remember pokemon being a lot more entertaining before I started soft resetting for decent pokemon.

I miss the bliss of being casual.

ive had black since release and ive only been able to beat it twice, despite multiple attempts

when i beat it, I had to go through the whole game without looking at the natures because I didn't want to soft reset for good ones or let bad ones get to me.

I want to believe it's one of the best of the series, but it just can't hold my attention long enough to beat it.
I'm really looking forward to gen 6 though, and just started a new game and will force myself to finish before October.

I stopped playing Gale of Darkness at Citadark Isle for about five years; it just got too difficult for me, and with the upgrade to the Wii, I just didn't keep at it.

Mainly because I didn't separate story and gameplay; since I didn't want to evolve a Pokémon that Cipher stole from someone else, I was taking on admins with a fucking Teddiursa and Poochyena. I found it quite a bit easier when I started ignoring that side of the story.

I don't even battle competitively, but I'd still rather have a good pokemon than a crappy one.

I beat the Elite four once on black, and have gotten 8 badges but have not attempted Elite 4 on wither B2 or HG. :(

Still have to soft reset for events that are waiting for me in the pokemarts from as far back as 2010 lol

i dont battle competitively either, I use simulators for that stuff. It still really bugs me nonetheless. its always a "what if" or "just in case" scenario there.

not to be a nostalgiafag but I love the fact that in RBYGSC you can catch a pokemon and simply play without worrying about those things (I know IVS exist here, but there's really no obvious indication of quality).
