-At first I was quite sympathetic to Gardevoir. When I discovered Gallade, he became a firm favourite of mine. But then I also discovered how vocal Gardevoir fans [in particular, male Gardevoir activists] view this pokemon and its place in the family he was added to-
- -an unending battle to make clear to world and beyond which pokemon is the TRUE & HONEST! male of the species;
- -an unending battle to make clear that Gallade is weaker, less viable, and worse designed than the token LGBT perfection of poke world.
- -an unending battle for whatever other reasons.
It is kind of hard to fully appreciate a character when its fans would like to see your fave stripped of all recognition and destroyed.
