Just beat emerald.

I now understand that I was wrong for not using gardevoir in every one of my teams, it was just such a sis. My blaziken was absolute garbage though, jesus christ, this is what happens when you dont soft reset for a good natured torchic.

I always SR for a decent natured starter now. It just grinds my gears if I'm playing, say, Leafgreen and I get Adamant Bulbasaur or some such bullshit. It's more seeing it on the stat screen than any actual effect it has. Just a pet peeve.

Try a shedinja, they're pretty cool, only problem is that you need to backtrack to that city with the first badge to get a nincada.
Also, swords dance slash ninjask is a bro.

Evolves Nincada at level 25, have the Ninjask learn Swords Dance and Shedinja will have it too. Only works in Gen III, I think.

One of the things I liked about gen III was the feel of adventure, in every other game it was mainly just routes and cities while in gen III you explored a DESERT, a JUNGLE, TALL GRASS, the SEA, etc.

Yeah, it really felt more like adventuring more with the open ocean, although I found myself getting lost sometimes the first couple times playing it. But that just adds to the fun, especially if you can just fly back somewhere.

anyway, heracross and skarmory are pretty awesome, you can also try for a feebas, i remember preparing for an 3 hour long search, but surprisingly found after like 5 or 10 minutes

does your breloom have spore? i remember breeding a shroomish with perfecr attack and speed IVs, then trained it, evolved it asap, then discovered it can only learn spore as a shroomish at level 58

Don't emulate then, get a GBA flashcart or a Revo K101 (GBA on a Chip console).

I got both, and I recommend the K101, but it costs around $55, but has internal clock, and back light, TV Out, perfect GBA link compatibility, ability to play your legit GBA games...

The EZ-flash costs about $30, no internal clock, and runs in your average GBA, and the Revo, which is pointless

Muddy Water is a shitty Signature Move and I hope the rumors are true about single moves effecting different type. Maybe It will be useful again. Muddy water should also lower Speed instead of Accuracy or maybe both. Maybe that would justify the shitty accuracy.

My favourite facility was the Battle Factory so I spent most of the time there rather than the Tower.
Oh how I hope they bring back Emerald's Battle Frontier, I mean; imagine the Battle Pike in 3D.

Agreed. Factory was the best one.

Mainly because I never bothered to actually train anything for the other challenges.

Also it's the closest thing to Stadium's Challenge Cup, my favorite one from that game.

-Dusclops
-Sharkpedo

I'm not sure between Skarmory and Aggron

There's no reason a jungle shouldn't look like a jungle

Route 119 and 120 are the same as generic grass #33335664, the only difference being you can't ride bikes on the grass.

Altough if we go by your loose definition of a jungle, I guess Snnoh has a jungle too, since it has tall grass north of Solaceon

Emerald was the 2nd fuckin best game for the pokemon saga, E4 was good, Gym leaders were though, the rayquaza cutscene was awesome, and BF was the best one so far, RS were pretty easy emerald fixed that for us

Overgrown grass is the only thing that could be considered a sign of a Jungle, but since it's also present on Sinnoh, a cold region, it's pretty obvious it's just another route with grass ad water

Emerald was great. My team just before e4 was mostly levels 42-47, the only exception being 53 zangoose. It swept e4 with no revives and 4 full restores. swords dance, slash, shadow ball and brick break - OHKOed most of the e4 pokemon. After the champion it was already lvl 59
