Comparing all of them Venusaur is fucking massive by the way, since it's listed as a foot taller than Charizard but quadruped Pokemon are generally measured from the shoulder.

I was never a huge fan of Charizard. I always preferred my playthroughs with Bulbasaur and Squirtle. I used the fire starter a lot in gens 2 3 and 4 though, so who knows.

That said, I did a playthrough with Charizard in Leafgreen once and it was fucking dope, I really enjoyed that party.

Charizard is more prevalent because no matter how much confirmation bias clouds your vision, there are more people defending it than hating it. There's a difference between disliking or preferring something else over Charizard or any other pokemon for that matter and hating on it.
