>Team is Nidoking, Quilava, Golbat, and Pidgeotto all at around level 28
>Decide to do some training around the Lake of Rage so I'd have some hope of winning
>Golbat manages to evolve into Crobat on the last level I was going to train him (level 30)
>Accidentally run into a trainer at the Lake that I didn't fight before
>Had Nasty Plot Ninetales with Flamethrower, completely decimated my Nidoking with a crit
>Nidoking was my last hope, with Thunder, Fire Blast, and Double Kick
>"Fuck it", go fight Pryce
>Lead with Pidgeotto and he leads with Seel
>I manage to take it out but hail damage and an Icy Wind did a number on Pidgeotto
>Try to Roost as he switches in Dewgong, but Ice Shard catches me completely off guard and takes me out
>Go out to Quilava
>After like 20 minutes of stall I manage to take out the Dewgong (seriously fuck that faggot)
>Pryce sends in Piloswine
>"Welp, it's over."
>Go for Flame Wheel
>Does barely anything
>One shotted by Mud Slap or whatever he had
>Last Pokemon is my newly evolved Crobat
>Go for Confuse Ray
>He goes for Hail
>Go for Bite
>Hits self
>Bite
>Flinch
>Bite again
>Snaps out of confusion
>Goes for Blizzard
>Live it with motherfucking 3 HP
>Feel bad for almost giving up when Crobat was working his ass off to try and win it for me
>Somehow, with the combination of spamming Hyper Potions and confuse/flinch hax, I manage to take down the Piloswine and win
>Just sit there in awe for a few seconds
I went on to catch more Pokemon, rebuild my team, and eventually win the league. And yes, Crobat lived through it all.
