You have proved OP's point. The characters are vivid enough in your mind that you've given them funny nicknames that speak to elemental aspects of their personality. Whether or not you LIKE the characters, you were interested enough to pay attention.

Trying to understand the opinions and tastes of others can be so troublesome sometimes. While I understand that someone may dislike things, I find it hard to understand why they can't acknowledge that there are at least aspects of characters that can stick out.
