So I was thinking about starter evolutions, and thought about how wildly different some evolutions are from their basic forms. Everyone knows Oshawott -> Samurott, but it happens a lot even without "species" changes. Blaziken is extremely different from Torchic, and even ones with more similarities like the 4th gen starters still differ wildly as they grow.

Is anyone else excited for that aspect of the finals for this new set? I'm putting my money on Chespin's evo being the wildcard. The theming has been very strong in pokemon lately, so I can't wait to see what they do with the starters. I think they'll be very different from any fakes so far. If they're more like 1st and 2nd gen lines, that wouldn't be awful, but I'm hoping for some big surprises.
