The dragon is already justified.

Normal is that Magic is only powerful against magical things, and are told to not use it agains natural strength.

Grass because of forests that control the fairies.
Poison because the animals of the forest that know fairies weaknesses.
Bug the same.

Steel and ice just because. There are lots of types strenghts and weaknesses that are just because.

Steel is intended to be a bulky as fuck type, and it is. That's the point of them. Each type has a certain theme that most of the Pokemon of that type fall into. We still dunno fairy's shtick, and it could be anything. They're not adding it to nerf anything, and the showcase of it being SE against dragon is just to reveal more information about the type.

I would keep the ones from the leak except maybe take away the super effectiveness against dark and give it a resistance to fighting. I like it when types balance things as well as make sense in terms of real world logic. Fairy being SE against steel would be dumb.

If steel is named steel and not iron, is because gamefreak donesnt want it to have its weaknesses and its strengths.

Steel sounds good on its own, but when combined with other words, iron usually sounds better, also, steel's an alloy of iron, so while steel isn't iron, it is mostly iron.

Steel in Pokemon doesn't have to be literally steel. Anything metal generally fits under steel. Just like how grass isn't literally grass, just plants and fungi, and how bugs aren't just insects, but other arthropods too. Put this together with the fact that steel is made up of iron and it would be stupid for fairies to be weak to it.

Man I hope for something like this, that truly balance all the types and not only Dragon.

The Pokébeach leak says that Steel is super effective against Fairy, but the Steel type doesn't need to be buffed at all. I'm afraid that it might become de next Dragon type.
