Yeah I could see Metagross going to UU.
It'd be really good, but not too good. It's like Kyurem-B in OU - it's got godly stats and power, but is stopped by a lot of common things.

Tons of pokemon can be used in higher tiers effectively, but there are a few that I have never seen have trouble in high tiers.
Almololola, Quagsire, and Cinccino are the biggest examples that come to mind.
Darmanitan is another huge one assuming you can keep stealth rocks at bay.

Shiftry is a lot squishier which makes it harder to be a setup sweeper.
Also Venusaur's typing is much better deffensively. 4x bug weakness is bad in a tier with so many Volcaronas and Scizors.

U-turn is a move used mostly early game for the sake of scouting.

If Shiftry is ever in danger of getting hit by U-turn you're doing it wrong.

The frailty and weakness to mach punch I understand, but it's hardly a reason for Venu and Shiftry to be OU and NU

Because it's not very fast and can't take a hit all that well. Same reason Chandelure is UU.

Your fault for letting your opponent pass a bunch of boosts. Honestly, anything can sweep you if you let it gather boosts.

Shame it was on PO, that'd have made a cool replay to show. 5 pokes in a row.
The things deffinitely OU material. Same for Togekiss. It's fucking broken in UU yet it's a rare sight in the tier, and it's incredibly easy to use in OU. My main sweeper for sure, with a little bit of luck it can annihilate whole teams on it's own.

And Hitmonlee is better in OU than it is in RU.

I think Mismagius should go down to RU. No one uses it in UU because there's no reason to use it, as it's completely outclassed, but in RU it'd be pretty fun to use.

What is Unburden?
Priority is a problem, but it's an incredible late game sweeper nonetheless.

And Hail may not be a viable weather in OU, but Abomasnow isn't a bad pokemon. I'm not running a Hail team, I'm just running a regular team with Abomasnow in it, and it's working better than expected. Hail is good for anti-meta, I guess. Abomasnow is like a smaller Mamoswine, but it can handle Rotom-W and fuck up some weather teams, which is pretty nice.

Amoonguss is a pokemon that's viable on every tier.
It happens the same for Miltank. There was a point in which I was using Miltank in three tiers with the same set. I still use it in OU and it does it's job pretty fine.

Gyarados in order to sweep, if the opponent sent out electric poke I'll just switch into swampert, if the opponent sent out a grass type to kill swampert I switch to sap sipper tank, and proceed to body slam them.

There are better teams, but this one took a lot of people by surprise
