Why don't more people use spikes? They're incredibly helpful and people highly underestimate how much they kill your longevity. Yes stealth rocks are more convenient but there's no reason not to use both of them.

With 1 layer of spikes and rocks you're doing 25% to most pokemon. That easily brings several offensive pokemon into easy KO range of weaker moves like priority attacks.

You can easily stack this with sand damage and phasing too. More people should use spikes.
