Every GTA game has a different story.
GTA IV is about an immigrant that comes to America to find a better life and move in with his cousin who glorifies America. But when he moves in he realizes that his cousin's place is a shithole and America isn't as great as it seems. One thing leads to another and he ends up in shit.
GTA SA is about a black guy who leaves San Andreas a few years prior to the events of the game to find a better life. But his brother is caught up and won't leave the gang life behind. It gets so bad to the point where gangsters murder their mom and the protagonist has to come back to her funeral. On the way to his house he is stopped by a couple of corrupt cops and they leave him in the middle of his brothers enemies gang's territory. Gunna sum it up... his closest friends end up betraying him and the police arrest his brother and the protagonist ends up getting revenge on the people who backstabbed him.
So I guess GTA could be lolgunz but that's only if you choose to make it that way. You have a lot of things to do in that game and just shooting people gets boring because that's not everything the game is about.
