Yes of course, if they are available in the game they will be available for trading, it's not like they're only going to allow you to trade the new pokemon.

That was GBA to DS. The DS literally had the GBA hardware. The 3DS does not have the DS hardware, it merely emulates the DS architecture, which is how most every console does backwards compatibility. It is also how emulators on computers work.

What's not to get. GF explicitly said they were having problems getting a game on the 3DS to communicate properly with a game on the DS.

Palpark worked because both games are on the same console. This doesn't work because 3DS games and DS games communicate wirelessly differently

3DS software cannot have two-way communicate with DS software. Also,

The sprites make no fucking difference. It isn't like the actual fucking Pokemon is jumping from the DS to the 3DS. It just copied data over and applies it to the same type of Pokemon.
