Does the Pokemon creator (Satoshi Tajiri) still gets a saying in the latest games? I mean, does he helps with ideas for new pokemon or characters? Or he just sits back and drowns in the money from Game Freak?

So what exactly did he do during Gen 1 and 2? I mean, of course he created the franchise, but what direct involvement did he have outside of thinking up the concept all-together and communicating it with his team? Pokemon design, character design, other visuals, audio?

Tajiri is this one, anon. And he barely do anything, even in Gen I, his design was... how many? ten? Rhydon, Poliwhirl, Butterfree-line, maybe a beta of Clefairy and that's it. Most designs was made by Sugimori, Nishida, Himeno and other guy, i don't remember his name. But that's it. Sorry for the bad english also.

I'm not saying otherwise. He work hard programming the first version even unpaid. But the whole concept of battling and trading is more from Miyamoto who helped and polished the "Pocket Monsters" concept, Tajiri's proyect was Capumon and was rejected in first place before the times of Pulseman. Then, after the success of Gold and Silver he just left the whole team, Sugimori and the all the GF team that is STILL working in Pokémon are more of creators than Tajiri... But, that's only my opinion.
