Why are they both on a water tile.

You'd think with the 3D engine they would have Honedge on the beach with a sand tile and Octillery on the water's edge. But no, they had to make it so there both fighting in puddles.

I've played Gen 3 games more than any other generation, and the majority of the music you have to listen to throughout the game is horrid. Only some of the tucked away locations have alright music, and you hear that music for very short periods of time compared to the blaring, ear grating rest of the soundtrack that dribbles on for hours. Keep your nostalgia and horrible sound font. If you're gonna nostalgia over an older game's soundtrack, at least pick one of the generations with good music like the first two, that or stick to the present. If Hoenn got remakes today, they'd remix the hell out of that soundtrack for damn good reason.

I liked all of them up until XY. Here, its sound like the took the early parts of the Unova theme and sucked all the energy out of it.

I'm excited. I think like with DPP -> HGSS -> BW -> B2W2 the 3D environments will get more and more refined. Gen 4 wasn't completely sure how to take advantage of the DS's hardware, but by BW and B2W2 things looked awesome. (heck just the small adjustment to the little circles the pokemon battle on pleased me) I think by Z/XY2/whatever we'll really see some cool stuff.

Most of what's been shown already goes in exactly the opposite direction from everything I liked in Gen5: back to emphasizing older Pokémon, all stupid designs all the time, criminals focused on money instead of some more ambitious (and thus more engaging, and thus more fun to play through) goal. So of course I'm regretting my preorder.

That theme actually got on my nerves after awhile. Don't hate it, but definitely got tired of hearing it. I did generally like all the hyped up music in BW2 though. I hope they keep giving us unique stuff like that, and I especially hope they give the same level of dedication to gyms that those games received. I don't think I can go back to the bland puzzle gyms after those stylized, immersive ones.

I think the villains will have some alternate goal, but I don't mind if they're some kind of evil corperation. It'll be interesting because while Rocket was mostly just a gang that used fronts sometimes, I'm hoping Flare will be like a legit business that's actually secretly evil (chance this won't happen, though)

I agree though, it's kind of lame to see old pokemon showing up a lot. I only accepted it in BW2 because it let me build a different team than I did playing both black and white.
